Our course teaches bartending - the classroom course you need to attend in person just teaches safe serving. The state requires approved alcohol server/seller training in some capacity. Remember, it's always best to check with the local authorities and potential employers to ensure you meet all the necessary qualifications to bartend in your specific location in Colorado. Notes on Selling or Serving Tavern employees must be 21 unless the tavern regularly serves full meals. Age to Serve is 18 if supervised by someone who is 21. Colorado offers a voluntary Responsible Vendor Program. TIPS Classroom training is an approved provider of Colorado responsible vendor training. Also, licensees or employees that conduct in-store tastings or for special events are REQUIRED to take classroom training. TIPS Classroom training is approved.
